【摘要】:TheU.S.OccupationalSafetyandHealthAdministration(OSHA)in29CFR1910.1000SubpartZdesignatesthatcertaingasesandvaporspresentinworkplaceatmospheresmustbecontrolledsothattheirconcentrationsdonotexceedspecifiedlimits.Othercountrieshavesimilarregulations.Thispracticewillprovideameansforthedeterminationofairborneconcentrationsofcertaingasesandvaporslistedin29CFR1910.1000andinothercountriesx2019;regulations.ApartiallistofchemicalsforwhichthispracticeisapplicableispresentedinAnnexA1withcurrentThresholdLimitValues(TLV)(2)andtypicalmeasurementrangesfortheselectedchemicalsasobtainedfromvariousmanufacturer''sspecifications.Thispracticemaybeusedforeitherpersonalorareamonitoring.1.1Thispracticedescribesthedetectionandmeasurementoftimeweightedaverage(TWA)concentrationsoftoxicgasesorvaporsusinglength-of-staincolorimetricdosimetertubes.AlistofsomeofthegasesandvaporsthatcanbedetectedbythispracticeisprovidedinAnnexA1.Thislistisgivenasaguideandshouldbeconsideredneitherabsolutenorcomplete.1.2Length-of-staincolorimetricdosimetersworkbydiffusionalsampling.Theresultsareimmediatelyavailablebyvisualobservation;thusnoauxiliarysampling,testnoranalysisequipmentareneeded.Thedosimeters,therefore,areextremelysimpletouseandverycosteffective.1.3ThevaluesstatedinSIunitsshallberegardedasthestandard.1.4Thisstandarddoesnotpurporttoaddressallofthesafetyconcerns,ifany,associatedwithitsuse.Itistheresponsibilityoftheuserofthisstandardtoestablishappropriatesafetyandhealthpracticesanddeterminetheapplicabilityofregulatorylimitationspriortouse.
