【摘要】:Thisisafire-test-responsestandard.Thistestmethodprovidesameansofdeterminingtheburningbehaviorofstackingchairsusedinpublicoccupanciesbymeasuringspecificfire-testresponseswhenastackofchairsissubjectedtoaspecifiedflamingignitionsourceunderwellventilatedconditions.Thistestmethodislimitedtostackedchairs.Testdataareobtaineddescribingtheburningbehaviorfollowingapplicationofaspecificignitionsource,fromignitionuntilallburninghasceased,aperiodof1hhaselapsed,orflashoverundertestconditionsappearsinevitable.Thistestmethoddoesnotprovideinformationonthefireperformanceofstackedchairsunderfireconditionsotherthanthoseconditionsspecifiedinthistestmethod.Inparticular,thistestmethoddoesnotapplytosmolderingignitionbycigarettes.Seeforfurtherinformation.Therateofheatreleaseoftheburningtestspecimenismeasuredbyanoxygenconsumptionmethod.Seeforfurtherinformation.Othermeasurementsaretheproductionoflight-obscuringsmokeandtheconcentrationsofcertaintoxicgasspeciesinthecombustiongases.Seeforfurtherinformation.Theburningbehaviorisdocumentedvisuallybyphotographicorvideorecordings.Thisstandardisusedtomeasureanddescribetheresponseofmaterials,products,orassembliestoheatandflameundercontrolledconditions,butdoesnotbyitselfincorporateallfactorsrequiredforfirehazardorfireriskassessmentofthematerials,productsorassembliesunderactualfireconditions.Firetestingofproductsandmaterialsisinherentlyhazardous,andadequatesafeguardsforpersonnelandpropertyshallbeemployedinconductingthesetests.Thistestmethodmayinvolvehazardousmaterials,operations,andequipment.UsetheSIsystemofunitsinrefereedecisions;seeIEEE/ASTMSI-10.Theunitsgiveninparenthesesareforinformationonly.Thisstandarddoesnotpurporttoaddressallofthesafetyconcerns,ifany,associatedwithitsuse.Itistheresponsibilityoftheuserofthisstandardtoestablishappropriatesafetyandhealthpracticesanddeterminetheapplicabilityofregulatorylimitationspriortouse.
